After four years, one of the world’s most significant Mountain Bike competitions returns to the calendar of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The Cyprus Sunshine Cup will take place from February 21 to 25, in a new format. Specifically, the competition will include three Cross-Country (XCO) events, attracting the biggest names in the world of Mountain Bike. The event will allocate points in the world ranking, as athletes during this period accumulate points to qualify for the Olympic Games “Paris 2024.”

The three one-day races will be held on February 21, 24, and 25. The race on February 25 will take place on the iconic track in the “Mantra tou Kampiou”, at Macheras Forest, and will be named “Afxentia” in memory of Grigoris Afxentiou. This name marks the beginning of the Cyprus Sunshine Cup from Macheras back in 1997 to become known worldwide and promote Cyprus as a cycling destination.

The tracks for February 21 and 24 will be announced very soon.

The race is organized by TOTAL SPORTS MARKETING under the auspices of the Cyprus Cycling Federation (CCF).
