The Cyprus Sunshine Cup 2024 continues on Saturday 24th with the second and Sunday 25th February with the third and final race respectively. The Cyprus mini-series has so far been faithfull to its name, with the bikers still enjoying pleasant sunny weather with temperatures just below 20 degrees.

After the first round in Amathus, the riders will this time meet at a new circuit in the small town of Tochni, located between the cities of Larnaca and Limassol. The organisers have prepared an interesting course full of singletracks for Saturday’s race, with beautiful views of the traditional Cypriot village, which now offers many agro-tourism opportunities.

The circuit is 5.2 km long and the elevation gain is 118 metres.

On Sunday the riders will visit a very traditional place for Sunshine cup in the mountains, Macheras. Many Olympic champions and world champions such as Jolanda Neff, Anna van der Breggen, Sabine Spitz, Gunn Rita Dahle, Bart Brentjens, Mathieu van der Poel and Jaroslav Kulhavy have raced on the 6.1 km circuit with 180 m of elevation gain.

And the thirty-eight-year-old Czech racer will be one of several names that will expand the start list for both races this weekend. The London 2012 Olympic champion is taking the race as preparation for the Cape Epic, which starts in three weeks.
